Wilson resigns from Scranton city council

 Vacancy will be filled by appointment

The Scranton city council is looking for a new member following the recent resignation of Cassidy Wilson. She was elected to the council in 2019. She gave no reason for her resignation.

A legal notice in The Scranton Journal this week advises residents the city council plans to fill the vacancy by appointment during the council meeting on July 12.

Eligible citizens interested in serving on the city council are asked to submit a letter of interest to the city clerk’s office at 900 Eagle Street, Scranton or email to cityhall@scrantoniowa.com by Wednesday, July 6.

The person appointed to the seat will serve until after the election in 2023.
